| How to get to HANS? |
HANS is only 135 kms from Mumbai off the Mumbai-Goa National Highway (13 kms from Kolad) and a mere 115 kms from Pune on the Pune-Roha SHW 66 (2 kms from Sutarwadi); the road condition is generally good throughout the year. Being located in the Konkan belt of Maharashtra, the climate is warm during the day and cool at night; winters are mild and pleasant. Rains begin in mid June and carry on till mid October - very heavy during July and August.
Coming from MUMBAI: On reaching KOLAD, proceed ahead by a km & turn left towards PUNE (117 KMS). Within 500 mtrs you will cross a Rly Line; from here Sutarwadi is 9 kms. On the way you will pass HETAWANE, WALANJWADI,& DHOKLEWADI villages. Now you will descend a small ghat section & will reach SUTARWADI. Here take a left turn; HANS is 2 KMS ahead.
Coming from PUNE: On reaching CHANDANI CHOWK, follow the road towards PIRANGUT, PAUD, MULSHI. On way from MULSHI to TAHMINI GHAT, you will pass,villages of GONAWADI,PALSE,WARAK,CHACHAWALI, TAHMINI, SAROLE & NIVE.Hereafter, you will pass thro a jungle area & thereafter DONGARWADI & ADARWADI. As you by pass KONDEDHAR village on right, you will commence a Ghat descend for appx 15 kms & reach VILE( DO NOT TAKE SHARP LEFT TURN);proceed ahead for 500 mtrs & turn left towards KOLAD.After passing thro villages of NARAYANGAON, KUDLI & AMBIVLI, you will reach SUTARWADI; turn right & within 2 kms You will be at HANS.

| Now, you can reach HANS by flying in by a Helicopter, as well. HANS has recently constructed a Helipad; aerial distance from MUM/PUNE is 90/75 kms respectively. |
